Prerequisites for this course are one year of college chemistry and a general course in biology.  The one year of chemistry should include a course in organic chemistry.  The prerequisites for pre-medical, dental, and veterinarian programs always contain more chemistry and biology than is required for this course.

Please keep in mind that the more biology and chemistry you have had, the easier this course will be.  Take the other courses first.

We always suggest that you call the programs you are contemplating to make sure that they will accept this course.

This is not an easy course. The average student studies at least two hours per day, five days per week for at least 13 weeks. The major reason students drop this course is that they do not budget time for study.
