 Thursday night, January 17 - By midnight, send response to “Learning” chapter in Elements of Teaching Tuesday, January 22 - Artifact Presentations, PPSSR, Clinical Experiences, and discuss “Learning” chapter  Guest Speaker – Deb Choroszy, Biddeford Public Schools 

Tuesday night, January 22 - By midnight, send response to “Authority” chapter.

 

Thursday, January 24 - Artifact Presentations, Rules for Teachers, and discuss “Authority” chapter. Bring Elements of Teaching book, colored pencils, crayons and/or markers to class, if you have them. 

 

Thursday night, January 24 - By midnight, send response to “Ethics” chapter.

 

Tuesday, January 29 - Artifact Presentations, Chalk Talk, Standardized Testing, and discuss “Ethics” chapter

 

Tuesday night, January 29 - By midnight, send response to “ Order" chapter

 

Thursday, January 31 - Guest speaker  – Maura O’Connor of UNE’s Learning Assistance Services to talk about Praxis I, Artifact Presentations, Morning Meeting, Discipline Game, and discuss “Order” chapter

 

Thursday night, January 31 - By midnight, send response to “Imagination” chapter

 Tuesday, February 5 - Artifact Presentations, Imagination Experience, and discuss “Imagination” chapter.  Bring a yellow highlighter to class for a writing lesson. 

Tuesday night, February 5- By midnight, send response to “Compassion” chapter

 

Thursday, February 7 - Artifact Presentations, Prep for Teaching Experience, Packets of Shapes, and discuss “Compassion” chapter

 Thursday night, February 7 – By midnight, send response to “Patience” chapter 

Tuesday, February 12 - Guest Speakers – Carrie Lamothe (assistant principal) and Melanie White (fifth grade teacher), Burns Elementary School (3-5), Saco, Maine.

Thursday, February 14 –  Artifact Presentations and Teaching Experience (be prepared to teach a classmate for at least ten minutes).  Discuss “Patience” chapter

Thursday, February 21 - Artifact Presentations, Cooperative Learning Experience, bring completed PPSSR to class or fill out PPSSR in class, and discuss “Pleasure” chapter

 

Thursday night, February 21 – Send response to cooperative learning articles (Johnson and Johnson, Slavin)

 

Tuesday, February 26 – Bringing Balance to the Teaching Life.  Freedom Writers.
